Cosmetic Diagnostics

Are you considering cosmetic enhancements, but unsure of the results? Are you afraid that it won’t turn out as expected? Cosmetic diagnostic tools such as digital imaging and diagnostic wax-ups can accurately demonstrate the wonders you may achieve with your smile.

3D In mouth Mock Up

In many cases, Dr Donia can create a 3 dimensional model on your own teeth, that will showcase the improvements that you may achieve. This may include widening and, or, straightening of the smile. Or it may just cover teeth that are misshapen or miscolored. This temporary mock up, can be photograped, and then worn out of the office. Think how wonderful it would be to immediately experience the reactions of friends and relatives to your new smile!

Imaging

After discussing what you would like to achieve with your smile, Dr. Donia will take a picture of you and send it to his digital artist along with notes from your consultation. From here, the artist will enhance your photo to display typical results from doing cosmetic work. Within days, the enhanced image is sent back to Dr. Donia so he can discuss it with the patient. Dr. Donia will provide you with a copy of your image so you can take it home and discuss it with your family and friends.

Diagnostic Wax up

Diagnostic wax ups are another great tool to help envision your new smile. After your initial consultation, Dr. Donia will send an impression of your teeth to his technician. The technician will then follow Dr. Donia’s notes and make adjustments to the model by removing some areas, or adding wax in others to create a beautiful, functional representation of what cosmetic dentistry can do for you. With a diagnostic wax up, you are able to see your mouth in 3-D, and hold it in your hands, looking at it from every angle to assure you like everything, and understand the treatment.

Previewing your smile before investing in cosmetic procedures is a common thing to do, and is suggested by most cosmetic dentists to assure proper communication is made between the doctor, patient and laboratory.
